Job Description

Happy Medium is seeking an individual with a passion for social and digital media to join its award-winning media department as a social media strategist!


Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position will be to be the agency expert on digital platforms, with an emphasis on social media. Understanding strategies for both organic and paid campaigns while implementing a savvy and creative approach to marketing is a must. In addition to platform research and intelligence, the position will include the ability to create, develop and implement engaging content for a diverse collection of clients. The social media specialist will need to understand our clients’ businesses, their customers and their goals for both long- and short-term growth. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong writing background, the ability to think creatively at the drop of the hat, know that engagement is the name of the game and be a team player that is dedicated to constantly learning.

  • The ability to be an expert in overall strategy and best practices on each social media platform
  • Strong creative writing capabilities
  • Previous experience handling social media for brands or organizations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive projects
  • High-energy attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes
  • Understanding of social media analytics to measure the success of campaigns and daily strategy
  • Background in marketing, advertising or public relations
  • DSLR Photography experience – ideal, not required
  • Proficient in Google Docs


Bachelor’s Degree or previous work experience preferred.



Must be available for occasional night and weekend work.


Minimal travel based on client projects.
